Come for a Trail Ride with Johnnie & Me!

It was 7 a.m. on a Thursday, and the dog walkers and mountain bikers were all still snoozing & dreaming. Emmy Lou Harris's "Evangeline" has always been a favorite and seemed to go nicely with the birdsong. Watch for a branch to hit me in the face at about 1:52. What we sacrifice for Art!

What a beautiful place to ride. I can see how you'd have problems maneuvering about hikers and bikers. It's such a narrow trail. Does anything ever bust out from the brush? I saw my first deer of the year this week up in Tahoe.

Oh yes we got two deer across the trail just this morning! They are so common here that unless they are really crashing the horses don't do much in response. John stopped to look. The deer up here this season seem huge and fat.

OK OK... you have to be talanted to ride and film!!!!! like walking and chewing gum... some of us just aren't cut out for that sort of things!!! :-) I greatly enjoyed the video and the song!!!!!!

Sue, I had to laugh - John knows the sound of my camera starting up and he takes a bit of advantage every time. Like staggering from one side of the trail to the other, losing momentum, etc. He just knows my concentration is not fully on him! I've been lucky so far knock on wood.

What a great film and song. Your horse is so well behaved and has beautiful coloring, love his mane. The trail where you ride is lovely, too bad the hikers and bikers are allowed there. We need more spaces for just horses don't you think?

Greyhorse, yes! The hikers and bikers are actually pretty polite; the occasional dirtbike can be an aggravation though! it is strictly no motorized, but that doesn't deter some folks...

What a beautiful boy you have! Oh, and to have a place like that to ride! Pffft, I wish!
